1st Published Artwork

Paton's picture was chosen for the front cover of his pre-school's new promotional brochure.

It was combined with another student's photo. Paton's part is the tree & bird.

We are humbled to know that our 5 year old can draw better than both of us.

Elise Elianna Hesed Walters

Elise – Hebrew; “God’s promise”

Elianna – Hebrew; “God has answered”

Hesed – Hebrew; “God’s steadfast love;” denotes God’s covenant faithfulness and devotion to His people.

These are the names we have chosen for our little girl…quite a mouthful for one child, but each name was carefully selected as we considered our journey of the past few years and the gracious gift that God has given us.

The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Exodus 34:6

Winter Weather

Had some winter weather on Wednesday. Paton enjoyed the new sled he received at Christmas.

Roller Skating Activity

Saturday night we had a roller skating activity with our church. Paton did a great job for his first time on 8 wheels.

Contest Winners

Have you ever wondered if someone wins those contests in the mall that ask you to fill out a 3x5 card. Well people do win. We won a queen sized mattress set. Retail value is more than what we paid for our car. Made us laugh, when we found out we won. But laughed much more when the delivery men set it up in bedroom. It was so high, we were scared if we fell out of bed, we might get hurt. Anyway, adjustments have since been made. It sleeps well. Make sure you fill out the contest cards!

..."What shall I say? A holy and good God has covered us with a dark cloud. O that we may kiss the rod, and lay our hand upon our mouths! The Lord has done it. But my God lives; and He has my heart." -- Sarah Edwards penned these words in a letter to her daughter after the death of her husband, Jonathan.

One year ago today, God chose to take our little one to Himself. We remember, we grieve, but oh may we have that same unwavering trust in the providence of the Almighty.

--------------------------------------------------
Glory baby you slipped away
As fast as we could say baby baby
You were growing what happened dear
You disappeared on us baby baby
Heaven will hold you before we do
Heaven will keep you safe
Until we're home with you

Sweet little babies it's hard to understand it
'Cause we're hurting we are hurting
But there's healing and we know
We're stronger people through
The growing and in knowing
That all things work together for our good
And God works His purposes
Just like He said He would

I can't imagine heaven's lullabies
And what they must sound like
But I will rest in the knowing
Heaven is your home
And it's all you'll ever know
Baby baby all you'll ever know

But we miss you ev'ry day
I miss you in ev'ry way
But we know there's a day
When we will hold you
We will hold you
And you'll kiss our tears away
When we're home to stay
I can't wait for the day
When we will see you
We will see you
But baby let sweet Jesus hold you
'Til Mom and Dad can hold you oh
You'll just have heaven before we do

Hilarious Quote

"I was raised on the KJV, so I'm bilingual" - from Andy Naselli's blog, quoting Walter Kaiser.

...too true for so many...
